Arndís de Gauthier is a woman hailing from the nation of Ishgard. A Rava born from the forbidden romance of Einarr Hrafnsson, a Viera exile and of Sylvette de Gauthier, an Ishgardian noble. She called the harsh winters of Coerthas her home, though a childhood wrought with difficulties as she was hidden and treated as a closely guarded secret.

House de Gauthier was a powerful clan, a clan of nobles and pure-blooded Ishgardians but like every noble house, it hid a notorious and dark secret. It was one that partook in dragon's blood in pure unadultered reverence to the beings that they took its lifeblood from. It's a clan with a millenias worth of generations subjected to the sins of draconic essence. Arndís was no exception, for a child born with the obvious signs of draconic heritage as a result of generational consumption of dragon's blood. She was born with her father's silver eyes but with her mother's serpentine pupils and the brimstoned claws that often erupt from her hands when emotionally charged because of this she often wore clothing that covered her eyes and hands.

Even so, House de Gauthier stood tall and proud, hiding behind the facades of their shadows and glib tongues, waiting for a perfect chance to strike. Not all things last, the noble house of de Gauthier would soon fall after attempting to attack the Holy See with fire and ash. A consequence of their own hubris, majority of the members of de Gauthier did not survive the clash though they fell those they could, a single clan against a false religion is still no match from its order of knights. Arndís' father was forced to flee Ishgard to protect his young child at the behest of his wife, the same woman who ended up going missing later on after the dust had settled.

Years after the sordid history and escape into Ul'dah, Arndís now works as an informant in the aformentioned desert city of Ul'dah. A seedy organisation called Ouroboros that she runs with her adopted sister, Ormr Kishna. Providing information and other resources to those with the money to do so.

"Anything you like, I can get... As long as you have the coin..."

Just remember adventurer, it's never a good idea to poke a sleeping dragon.

Personality

Arndís is charismatic to a fault, a woman who has a way with words. Often with the penchant of teasing others when it suits her especially when she is in a mood to be a notorious flirt. As well as a bad habit of lying to others as a means of protecting her own privacy such as openly telling others her name is Ormr Kishna, the same name as her adoptive sister's. Though the reason behind is much different, taking up their father's title in her case was just a way for her to confuse others on the true nature of their origins.

But make no mistake, while perhaps Arndís may seem kind and cheery. It is all but a facade, she will not hesitate to bite the hand that feeds her if it suits her goals. After all, gathering information on others and the likes is an ardous task. The Viera will not hesitate to get her hands dirty if needed.

A job is a job and she has a reputation to uphold.
